Kemin Embeds Knowledge On Feed Ingredients to The Feed Industry Analysts
CHENNAI, India – June 2016 – The Animal Feed Industry relies on high-quality laboratory data to ensure quality and consistency in feed production. Laboratory Analysts in the Feed Industry generate critical data for the continuous successful operations of the feed industry. Currently the industry is facing challenges due to the high price and poor quality of the raw materials, which has led to adulteration in the feed ingredients resulting in poor performance in birds.
Kemin Customer Laboratory Services (CLS) teams are dedicated to providing customers with laboratory services tailored to meet their unique needs. Kemin has been training customers on regular basis as per their request and needs, around 40+ customers have been trained by Kemin India in the south Asian market and Kemin has helped establish more than 30 Labs for customers.
But in line with the recent industry needs and demand for good training of analysts, Kemin India has initiated series of training program “Kemin’s Laboratory Training Program” for Industry Feed Analyst designed by the expert team. The First edition of this five-day training was conducted on 6th – 10th June 2016 in Chennai, seeing a participation 23 top feed industry analyst.
Speaking on this initiative Mr. Samraj Jeychandran, Sr. VP Marketing & Sales said “Kemin’s Laboratory Training program will serve as a value-added training activity for the Animal Feed industry. Analysts participating in the program are expected to return to their labs invigorated with new knowledge and concepts. Several key tests for the evaluation of Raw Material Quality; as well as information on advances in the animal feed industry will be presented. Hands-on laboratory sessions and lively discussions will enable them to network and collaborate more effectively, and further the feed industry’s interests through improvements in Feed Quality”.
Participants of the first batch were trained extensively on the following topics –
• Protein Analysis
• Fat and Fibers testing
• Awareness on Mycotoxin contamination
• Feed Microbiology
• Minerals and Moisture estimations
This program received positive response from the participants, encouraging Kemin to conduct more.

commenting on the response received for Kemin’s Laboratory Training Program Mr. Kannan added “We were surprised by the amount of people who had registered online. Since the registrations were first come- first serve basis we weren’t able to accommodate everyone in one batch. We will be accommodating the rest in the upcoming slot”.
